The Canada Day Marathon will set the tone for this weekend’s Roller Sports Canada Outdoor Speed Championships taking place in Toronto.

Report- Day 1- USA Outdoor Championships- Keith Carroll

Keith Carroll shared a report from day 1 at the USA Roller Sports Outdoor Championships- read it here; Outdoor Nationals Day 1

Some quick standouts from the day would be Erin Jackson, Sara Hebbrecht, and Jonathon Blair for all breaking 300m records and also Mario Valencia for having an exceptional day in junior men all together. In senior men Joey was not here for the first day because of a World Inline Cup race in Europe that he attended (and won) but he will be here tomorrow. Personally I thought of it as a opportunity to seize some good points before he got there which I think I did.

Report- Mans 24 Hours- From Bill Begg

Bill Begg shared quite a report on this past weekend’s Mans 24 Hours- read it here; LeMans 24 roller results (unofficial) top 20 mens teams (see post #4)-

Bont team give there congratulations to Poli RPM & lead by two of skatings great Gentlemen & stalwats Mattheui Boher & Pascal Briand, who not only responded to our early pressure, but then attacked us & ecked out a 1 lap lead.

Ben Alchin recorded the fastest ever official lap on Le Mans at 6 min 14 sec, skating solo with the hill at over 40 KMPH, there was previous talk in other years of Tristan Loy, of a 6 min 10 by self team timming, but they admitted he took a short cut through a prohibited area, which we Questioned, and were told, they would have an official placed there, but the official soon dissappeared & opponents were taking the short cut, but Ben Alchins Lap was a full official track effort, more information will follow on the wheel configeration, that this fastest ever official lap was created on.

NO I AM NOT ANGRY ABOUT THIS YEARS RESULT, WE WERE BEATEN BUY A GOOD TEAM & LET DOWN ULTIMATELY BY OUR OWN PEOPLE, ITS 3 YEARS AGO WHEN WE WON & WERE BLATANTLY ROBBED, THAT I AM STILL VERY ANGRY ABOUT & THE COWARDICE SHOWN BY A BIG BRAVE MAN 3 YEARS AGO READING THE RIOT ACT, WHO BEHAVED LIKE A FIELD MOUSE 3 YEARS LATER.
