RSC Canadian Championships- Day 2 & 3

I am currently in Harriston at the Roller Sports Canada Canadian Championships. The only races left are the relays- there’s currently a rain delay. The marathon will take place tomorrow in Cambridge.

A few records were set today including in the Freshmen girls category. Candy Wong bested her 500-meter time by 6 seconds!

Many nice pictures and complete results will be posted and shared later- maybe this evening.

SSW will be back in ‘regular’ non-competition mode later this evening or tomorrow after the marathon- It really depends on how much time we spend eating lunch after the racing is done. We’re going to eat at the Mongolian Grill and maybe go to the movies.

I’ll try to remember to share stories about the angry dog and the wild turkey.

Road Rash Chronicles- On the Road Again

I like the post On the Road Again from Road Rash Chronicles; it is creative and I need to break out my guitar and pump this one out loud someday-

Turn on the Willie Nelson

On the track again
Just couldn’t wait to get on the track again.
The life I love is skating short track with my friends
And I can’t wait to get on the track again.

On the road again
Just lacing up to skate on the road again.
I’m skating way behind the women and the men
But I can’t wait to skate on the road again.

In the pack again
Nice to be skating in the pack again.
Nothing beats touching the bums of all my friends
And I can’t wait to skate in the pack again.

At the races again
Would be nice to be at the races again.
But speedy crossovers cause me great deals of pain
But someday soon I’ll be in the race again
